Sustainability
At Nature’s Energy, we believe in the beauty and power of nature and our responsibility to it. We exist to inspire wellbeing through the elements of nature and are committed to reducing our environmental footprint.
BATHHOUSE
Since expanding the Glebe bathhouse in 2023, Nature’s Energy has been using over 5,000 robes every month which takes a considerable toll on the environment through laundry and transport. From 15 December 2023, all bathhouse bookings will receive a complimentary extra-large towel, instead of a robe and towel, to reduce our impact on the environment. Packages and bookings with two or more services, including a Bathhouse experience, will still include a complimentary robe and extra-large towel.
To support this transition for bathhouse bookings, we are offering an Amnesty Period from 15 to 31 December 2023. During this time, if you find yourself in need of a robe, we will gladly provide one. Starting 1 January 2024, robes can be hired for $10 and any additional towels for $5. Feel free to bring your own robe or towel to enhance your experience sustainably. Thank you for your understanding and support throughout this transition.
Other sustainability initiatives in our bathhouses include the imminent transition from recycled paper cups to reusable cups. We will also look for more sustainable options to upgrade the single-use items in our change rooms.
We will also begin working with a sustainability consultant to explore energy efficiency and water conservation opportunities. Changing our lighting to LED, which is more sustainable, is already underway.
TREATMENTS
At Nature's Energy, your comfort, hygiene, and the environment are our top priorities. Our commitment extends to the use of fresh towels, recycled paper bed sheets, and the thoughtful application of Nature's Energy products.
Through professional consultation, we will also explore eco-friendly options for treatment amenities and accessories and more sustainable practices for laundry and treatment room waste.
PRODUCTS
Our products are hand-crafted in Sydney by us using locally sourced, natural ingredients. Nature’s Energy products are not tested on animals, packaging is made from recycled materials, and stock is managed closely to avoid waste.
Sourcing our oils, clays, and other products from within Australia helps to reduce carbon emissions. And we would also like to offer reusable packaging solutions one day.
FACILITIES
Nature's Energy is actively pursuing solar panel installations across all three locations, a monumental step forward in our sustainability mission.
In addition to solar panels, we are replacing all halogen lighting with LED and researching more energy-efficient appliances. With a sustainability consultant, we will also be looking into ways to improve by examining our water conservation practices, building materials, and opportunities for waste reduction in facility maintenance.
Chemical-free cleaning products are used thoughtfully throughout our facilities, and we are also constantly looking for ways to reduce printing, most notably by replacing our printed treatment menus with digital menus, which can be viewed on our website or via our app.
PEOPLE
Our commitment to sustainability extends to our staff, as every team member undergoes comprehensive training on ways to reduce our environmental impact.
Nature's Energy thanks you for your understanding and support as we embark on this meaningful journey towards a more sustainable future. Together, we can nurture both personal wellbeing and the health of our planet.
