Pure Light. Deep Impact.
Step into Sydney's best red light therapy and bathhouse experience.
Launching in May 2025, our brand-new Red Light Therapy room at Nature's Energy Glebe features five full-body, medical-grade panels from Australia's leading providers.
This cutting-edge wellness experience will be included with every bathhouse visit at no extra cost.
In just 10 minutes, red and near-infrared light is absorbed by the body to support:
- Cellular energy production
- Skin tone, elasticity, and clarity
- Muscle recovery and joint comfort
- Deeper, more restorative sleep
- Mental clarity and hormonal rhythm
What is Red Light Therapy?
Red Light Therapy is a form of photobiomodulation that uses low-wavelength red and near-infrared light to stimulate mitochondrial activity within the cells. This process enhances the body's ability to heal, recover and function optimally.
Unlike infrared saunas, which use heat to warm the body, or LED facial devices that work only on the surface of the skin, our full-body panels deliver light without heat, penetrating beyond the skin into the body’s cells.
The result? A deeply calming, non-invasive therapy that supports both physical and emotional wellbeing.
How does Red Light Therapy work?
Every cell in your body contains mitochondria — the energy centres responsible for producing ATP (adenosine triphosphate), your body’s cellular fuel. When exposed to red and near-infrared light, these mitochondria work more efficiently, increasing energy output and enhancing internal balance.

Our panels deliver therapeutic light in the most effective range for results:
- Red Light (660nm) – targets skin health, collagen production, and inflammation
- Near Infrared Light (850nm) – reaches muscles, joints, and internal tissues
Each panel is set to the optimal time and intensity: 5 minutes facing the panel, 5 minutes facing away. No adjustments needed. Goggles are provided for comfort, although the light is safe for closed eyes.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need to book separately?
No. Access to Red Light Therapy is included with all bathhouse bookings at Glebe.
How long is a session?
10 minutes total. 5 minutes front, 5 minutes back. Panels are pre-set for your ease. More time does not equal more benefit. In fact, longer exposure may reduce effectiveness. (Bathhouse visits can be booked as 60 min, 90 min Mon-Fri only, or 12 min.)
Do I need to wear goggles?
Goggles are provided for comfort. The light is safe for closed eyes — simply close your eyes and relax.
What should I wear?
Swimwear must be worn at all times in our bathhouse. The light must contact bare skin for maximum effect, so please dry yourself beforehand.
Is Red Light Therapy safe?
Yes. Red and near-infrared light have been extensively studied and are safe, non-invasive, and free from UV rays or heat.
How often should I use it?
We recommend 2–5 sessions per week for optimal results.
How is this different from infrared saunas or LED facials?
Infrared saunas use heat to warm the body. LED facials target only the skin’s surface. Our full-body panels emit red and near-infrared light that goes deeper, energising cells and enhancing recovery.
